Who We Are
MISSION
Purpose-driven basketball training focused on skill, confidence, and growth — on and off the court.
Our Philosophy & Player Development
Player development is more than just running drills. Every rep should have purpose, every session should challenge growth, and every coach should invest in the person behind the player.
Our staff is committed to developing players who compete with skill, discipline, and heart. We focus on building better players by fostering growth and development both on and off the court.
Knights Elite was created as a local development program where players can train in a positive environment, learn the right habits, and prepare for the next level with confidence.
Coach Tyrrell is the Head Varsity Boys Basketball Coach at IC Catholic Prep in Elmhurst and program director of Knights Elite.
With over 20 years of coaching experience, he has built a program known for its culture of hard work, accountability, and player development. Under his leadership, ICCP has earned multiple Conference and Regional Championships, two Sweet 16 appearances, and set a school record for wins during the 2024–25 season.
A three-time IBCA Coach of the Year and 2025 Vistage Leadership Award recipient, Coach Tyrrell is passionate about developing student-athletes who compete with discipline, confidence, and purpose — both on and off the court.
He brings the same commitment to growth and mentorship, helping middle school players refine their skills, gain confidence, and prepare for success at the next level.
